It’s your money. If you need to, you can borrow money from your account.
Prime Plan Benefits
- You don't have to worry about hidden fees with Prime Plan. You won't pay up-front costs, surrender fees or early withdrawal charges – which means you have the flexibility to move money between funds at any time without it costing you a dime.*
- You can open your fund with any amount of money. Our Financial Consultants can help you determine an appropriate contribution that fits your current budget, with the understanding that you can increase or decrease at any time without penalty.
- Stay in touch with your investments. In addition to a regular monthly statement, each quarter you will receive an in-depth statement highlighting your holdings, their performance and a graphic representation of you portfolio summary.
- With Prime Plan, you control your investments. From this website, you can access market information, secure account information and research additional investment opportunities. You can also transfer any existing 403(b) or 457 savings into your Prime Plan account, simplifying your investments and eliminating fees paid on multiple accounts.
- It's your money. If you need to, you can borrow money from your account. As you pay back the loan, you actually pay interest to yourself – all interest paid on the loan is deposited directly back into your account and reinvested for you.
- Pay for the plan, not for transactions. Prime Plan is a fee-for-service plan, which means you don't pay for individual transactions. An annual fee of $40 as well as a small percentage of assets (only 0.50%) covers administrative and advisory functions such as record-keeping, reporting and investment management.
- Prime Plan is reliable. Unlike other 403(b) or 457 “omnibus” plans, your assets are custodied in an individual account with National Financial Services, LLC (WFS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments. This provides additional protection above and beyond the general coverage provided by SIPC.
